From June 12 to July 19, 2026, Richmond Celebrates Soccer brought residents and visitors together to celebrate community, culture and the excitement of international soccer through a series of free events across Richmond.

The six-week program featured 11 community celebrations hosted in partnership with local community associations and societies, culminating in two signature events: the World Soccer Day Kick-Off Event at the Richmond Olympic Oval and the Richmond Celebrates Soccer Final Event at Aberdeen Neighbourhood Park.

Residents and visitors enjoyed a wide range of activities, including public match viewings, live entertainment, cultural performances, soccer demonstrations, family-friendly games, hands-on crafts and food trucks. Community centres, recreation facilities and parks across Richmond were animated with public match viewings throughout the tournament, creating welcoming spaces for people to come together and share in the excitement.
